What this service is

The YouTube Creator Sourcing Console is an internal business tool operated by Juhas Digital Services s.r.o.. It helps our team find YouTube channels that may be suitable partners for marketing campaigns, by reading publicly available information about those channels and measuring it against criteria we set. It is not a consumer product and is not open to public registration.

YouTube API Services

This application uses YouTube API Services. By using it you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

We access the YouTube Data API with a server-side API key only. We do not ask anyone to sign in with a Google or YouTube account, we do not use OAuth, and we have no access to any private account data, watch history, subscriptions, private videos or analytics. Everything we read is information YouTube publishes openly to anyone.

Because we never obtain access to a Google account, there is no authorisation for you to revoke for this application. You can review and revoke third-party access to your Google account at any time at Google security settings.

Information about YouTube channels

For channels we assess, we store the following, all of it published publicly:

If you run a YouTube channel, this may include personal data about you — most obviously a contact email address you published for business enquiries. We process it on the basis of legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in identifying potential business partners, and we use it only to evaluate a possible partnership and, where appropriate, to contact you about one. We do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not combine it with data from other sources to build a profile beyond what is described above.

Information about our own users

Access to the console is restricted to members of our team. Sign-in is handled by Clerk, our authentication provider, which stores the name and email address of each authorised user. We record which user made which decision in the tool, so that changes are attributable.

Where data is kept, and for how long

Data is stored on Google Cloud Platform in the europe-west1 region, inside the European Union. Channel records are retained for as long as they remain useful for partner sourcing. Records of channels we have assessed are kept so that we do not repeatedly re-evaluate the same channel, which would mean contacting people more often rather than less.

Who else sees it

We do not sell or rent data. It is shared only with the service providers that operate the system on our behalf: Google Cloud Platform (hosting, storage and the YouTube Data API), Google Sheets (where shortlisted channels are recorded for our team), and Clerk (sign-in for our own staff). We may disclose data where the law requires it.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or UK you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to our processing of it (including objecting to our legitimate interest), and to receive a copy of it. You may also complain to a supervisory authority — in Slovakia, the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic.

To have your channel removed from our system, contact us using the details below and identify the channel. We will remove it and record it so that it is not added again.
